6/22/2023 0 Comments Intel gma 950 driver![]() ![]() I was part of 9xxSSF (I mainly just maintained up-to-date access to embedded drivers and a driver mirror) and one of the first drivers from our group implemented software-emulated TnL and vertex shaders (basically just implemented the feature how it was on the 965 or whatever the next iGPU model was initially, and improved upon it with later driver releases). Intel never finished the driver to even support that feature. Intel lists the chip spec being able to handle Shader Model 3.0 (which implies HW TnL and VS 3.0) but only if the features are software emulated. For a random example, the 950GMA has no Hardware TnL and I think no hardware support for vertex shaders of any kind. Intel's graphics drivers on Windows are a joke. ![]() Years ago, I ran CS: Source faster under a Hackintosh install with Crossover than I did native Windows with a 950 GMA. ![]()
